Bristol-Myers Squibb names post-Celgene-deal executive team

After it closes its acquisition of Celgene, Bristol-Myers Squibb’s management will include Dr. Samit Hirawat as chief medical officer for global drug development while Dr. Tom Lynch, EVP and chief scientific officer, departs in October. Chris Boerner will take on an expanded role, overseeing oncology, immunology, and cardiovascular businesses; worldwide value, access and pricing; and global commercial operations, as well as its global medical organization. Nadim Ahmed will be president of hematology and David Elkins will be CFO of the combined company.

BIO names Levin chair of board

The Biotechnology Innovation Organization has named Jeremy Levin, CEO of Ovid Therapeutics, as chair of its board of directors for the 2019-2020 term. Levin has also worked at Teva Pharmaceutical, Bristol-Myers Squibb and the Novartis Institutes of Biomedical Research.

AbelsonTaylor names two shareholders

AbelsonTaylor has named Lynnette Hunter, SVP and account director, and Tristen George, SVP for experience design, to its 14-member shareholder group and its executive committee. Hunter and George will participate in decisions about the firm’s policies and business.

Revance names Beraud to board

Revance Therapeutics has appointed Jill Beraud to its board of directors. She will also lead a newly formed brand strategy committee for Revance focused on establishing its neuromodulator, Daxibotulinumtoxin A for Injection, with consumers.

Precisioneffect promotes two

Precisioneffect has promoted Laurence Richards to EVP and managing director and Adrienne Morgan to SVP of client service. Richards is overseeing the development and implementation of client work, while Morgan is leading the client services team.

Ethris brings on Langenickel

Ethris has hired Thomas Langenickel for the role of chief medical officer. Previously, he served as executive director and head of respiratory profiling in the translational medicine group at Novartis.
