Novartis names AI Innovation Center lead

Iya Khalil has joined Novartis as the global head of the AI Innovation Center. Khalil previously co-founded and served as chief commercial officer for GNS Healthcare, a healthcare data analytics and AI company.

Moncef Slaoui has resigned from Moderna’s board and is leading the Trump administration’s Project Warp Speed, the federal effort to accelerate Moderna and other company’s vaccines for coronavirus.

Atara Biotherapeutics appoints R&D head

Jakob Dupont was named global head of research and development at Atara Biotherapeutics, an immunotherapy-focused company. Previously, Dupont was chief medical officer at Gossamer Bio and was global head of breast and gynecologic cancer development for Genentech/Roche.
