Conrad named top creative at Scout Health

Scout Health has promoted Rick Conrad to the newly created position of VP and executive creative director. He was previously group creative director after joining the firm in 2018 from AbelsonTaylor. Conrad will lead creative teams in Chicago, San Diego, Atlanta and New York and report to Raffi Siyahian, president and principal of Scout. 

Merck names IR leadership 

Merck has promoted Peter Dannenbaum to VP of investor relations, effective August 19. Before joining Merck’s IR team in July 2017, he was a healthcare-focused portfolio manager and director of research at CDPQ. Teri Loxam, SVP of IR and global communications, will leave Merck to become CFO at SQZ Biotech. 

Spate of appointments at Lilly

Darren Carroll, SVP of corporate business development at Eli Lilly, is set to retire at the end of August after leading its corporate business development for nearly a decade. Phil Johnson, SVP and treasurer, will assume additional duties related to mergers and acquisition activity. Heather Wasserman was promoted to VP of corporate business development. 

Levi Garraway has resigned from his role as SVP of oncology research and early phase development. Josh Bilenker, CEO of Lilly subsidiary Loxo Oncology, will lead oncology research and early phase development in the interim. Lilly also promoted Frank Cunningham to SVP of managed healthcare services. 

HCB Health makes 14 appointments

HCB Health has hired 14 staffers, including 10 to support new and existing clients in its BioPharma division. Among the hires dedicated to BioPharma are Ethan Stickle, account supervisor in Chicago; Ruth Nobile, account executive in Austin; Denise Byrne, senior project manager in Chicago; and Brooke Claussen, associate creative director in Chicago. New hires working across the entire agency include Mark Davis, SVP of multichannel delivery in New Jersey, and Cody Morris, associate UX designer in Austin. 

FCB Health expands to Madrid

FCB Health has launched a presence in Madrid, led by general manager Loris Marchet. The network also said it has entered into exclusive affiliate agreements with three European Union agencies: FCB Health Reaktor in Istanbul; FCB Health LL Conseil Paris; and FCB Health Energy Milan. It also named Christopher Gut as director of commercial, finance and operations.

Health Union hires Rompala 

Health Union has brought on Will Rompala as chief technology officer, with the immediate goal of expanding its data capabilities. He has also worked as head of technology for North America at Kantar Media and chief technology officer at Sidecar.
