Allergan launched DTC TV ads to promote its Lap Band System as an alternative to gastric bypass surgery.

Allergan launched DTC TV ads to promote its Lap Band System as an alternative to gastric bypass surgery. Ads, by Beacon Healthcare of Bedminster, NJ, are airing through the end of the year and feature testimonials by patients who have used the procedure, by which an adjustable ring is implanted around the opening of the stomach to limit intake.
