Sanofi has laid off 100 employees at its Boston R&D hub as part of a global reorganization effort, according to FierceBiotech. The cuts were reportedly made in the Paris-based drugmaker’s oncology and global R&D divisions. Prior to confirmation of staff layoffs, Sanofi announced Wednesday that it has agreed to pay $100 million upfront to collaborate with gene therapy company Voyager Therapeutics, with an additional $745 million in possible development and sales milestone payments.
