Alabama has asked a court to allow bans of gender transition treatments. The state is asking a federal appeals court to let it enforce a law that would make it a felony to give puberty blockers or hormones to transgender minors. (AP)

The World Health Organizaion said abortion pills can be used later than recommended by the Food and Drug Administration. The medication is approved until 10 weeks of pregnancy in the U.S., but the WHO says it can be safely used until 12 weeks. (The Atlantic)
