China has shut down public transportation and outbound flights from Wuhan due to the coronavirus. More than 400 people have been infected and 17 have been killed from the virus so far. The World Health Organization has yet to make a decision on whether the outbreak should be declared a global health emergency. The group plans to meet again Thursday. (AP News)

Novavax, Moderna and NanoViricides are working to combat coronavirus. Novavax filed a shelf registration to raise more than $100 million. The drugmaker developed the MERS vaccine in 2013. Moderna is currently working with the National Institutes of Health on a vaccine. NanoViricides developed treatments for MERS and Ebola. (MarketWatch)

Biolumina has given its campaign created for MM&M’s gun violence initiative, #InspireTheEnd, a second life. The agency has partnered with AFFIRM (The American Foundation for Firearm Injury Reduction in Medicine), a nonprofit research group that works with healthcare providers to find solutions to gun violence.
