Legislation aimed at ending the tax-deductibility of pharma advertising was not included in the reconciled Senate healthcare reform bill announced yesterday by Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV). The proposed legislation, offered by Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) and co-sponsored by Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Sherrod Brown (D-OH), could still be offered as an amendment from the floor.
