Informed Medical Communications (IMC), a provider of interactive information services, has named Thomas Patton CEO.

Patton replaces Robert Goodman, who left to become president of content and commerce at AOL-founder Steve Case’s start-up, Revolution Health Group.

“Business has grown substantially over the last few years,” Patton told MM&M. “We will continue to grow internally and we think there are acquisitions that can compliment our current product offering and specific vision to enhance the dialogue between physicians and patients.”

Patton most recently served as CEO of Wright Medical Technology, an orthopedic device company in Memphis, TN.

IMC has four divisions: The Peer Group provides interactive moderated peer groups and discussions for pharma clients; HealthTalk delivers patient education information through a variety of interactive channels; MRxHealth conducts research on the communication between physicians and patients; and RxDialogue conducts live and Web-based promotion for physicians.
