As the founder and CEO of Real Chemistry, Jim Weiss has used his commitment to making the world a healthier place for all to build an agency that employs more than 1,500 people and partners with 29 of the top 30 pharma companies.

As a leader, he strives to inspire others, consistently proving that chemistry is the result when you mix diverse talent with ethical values and authentic collaboration.

He has maintained his entrepreneur’s optimistic mindset during this chaotic year, envisioning success amid difficulties. To support employees, he consistently updates staff and offers programs that help. That includes coaching to help them prioritize personal/mental health needs, free counseling and meditation, subsidized tutoring for parents and a first-of-its-kind Amazon Company Store for home-office needs. Employee turnover declined 10% compared to 2019, and engagement increased.

He committed about $1.5 million to initiatives that benefit health providers and patients, including the Ad Council’s vaccine confidence campaign and the Black Coalition Against COVID-19, which helped increase the percentage of Black Americans who have received the vaccine.

Weiss is a supporter and member of the board of trustees for the Cancer Research Institute, a trustee for the Commons Project Foundation, on the advisory board for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and a member of the Seminar and Page Society. He and his wife, Audra, are founders and sole sponsors of the W2O Group Center for Social Commerce at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University to prepare students and professors for success in a digital age.
