Her colleagues at The Bloc know Grace Helmer as a pivotal team member on its high-profile Vascepa account. And they’ve marveled at her brand stewardship, focusing on pharmacist communications and website launches. (The client recently nicknamed her their Website Queen.)
But it’s not just the white-glove service she gives clients that earned her this award. They also believe she provides a level of inspiration to her co-workers that far surpasses her industry experience.
Helmer joined The Bloc as a senior account executive, making a lateral move from Ogilvy in September 2018, and is now an account director. Before account services, she spent a year in project management, adding to her highly detail-oriented skills. She’s an excellent communicator who maintains a positive attitude under pressure and brings humor and accountability to the job — a great blend for making hard work enjoyable.
Not only is Helmer trustworthy, knowledgeable and reliable, colleagues say she is also thoughtful, understanding and empathetic. She is not afraid to ask questions or to make her opinion known, and she’s quick to call on subject-matter experts when she is unsure.
With therapeutic experience that covers both cardiovascular health and oncology, specifically ovarian cancer and multiple myeloma, Helmer has won internal awards. Outside of work, the Hobart and William Smith Colleges grad is also a passionate volunteer. She supports Birth Haven, a nonprofit that helps homeless pregnant women, as well as Penn State’s THON, which raises millions each year to help fight pediatric cancer. She also participated in March for Our Lives, an event committed to ending gun violence.
