GlaxoSmithKline named Philippe Fauchet president of GSK Japan. Fauchet joins GSK from Sanofi Aventis, where he was SVP business development and had served as SVP pharmaceutical operations, Japan since 2005. He will report to Marc Dunoyer, who leads the company’s pharma operations in the Asia Pacific/Japan region and takes the title chairman, GSK Japan.
Genzyme appointed former Lilly manufacturing head Scott Canute to serve as president, global manufacturing and corporate operations, overseeing production of Genzyme products manufactured at 17 sites around the world.
Cohn & Wolfe named Mike Kan global healthcare practice leader. Kan, who joins from Edelman, where he was head of healthcare for the EMEA region, is tasked with overseeing strategic development of the PR firm’s global healthcare offering and its more than 300 staff.
