Marty Cearnal joined Cumberland Pharmaceuticals, a Nashville, TN, firm, as SVP commercial development. Cearnal was previously president and CEO of Physicians World and EVP of Thomson Medical Education. More recently, he has been EVP, chief strategy officer at JMI Health (formerly Jobson), a part-time role in which he continues. He has served on the board of Cumberland since 2004.

PUBLISHERS

Dowden Health Media named Trevor Deal publisher of The Journal of Family Practice and Mayo Clinic Proceedings. Deal was previously publisher of Advanstar’s Medical Economics, which recently moved operations to Cleveland, Ohio, from Woodcliff Lake, NJ. He is tasked with expanding revenue in live events and symposia, collaborations, print and online programs as well as new venues. He reports to SVP/group publisher Jenny Day.
