WebMD has announced the hiring of Richard Sutton as senior vice president, sales, for WebMD’s consumer markets. Sutton will manage the company’s consumer package goods sales organization, and lead online revenue growth. Sutton was most recently SVP of digital media sales at Warner Bros. Entertainment, a division of Time Warner. Sutton replaces Riley McDonough, who left the company last May.
 
Wyeth named Christian Velmer to lead its operations in Canada. Velmer, previously SVP Western Europe for Merck Serono, becomes president and managing director of Wyeth Canada. He replaces Arnout Ploos Van Amstel, who becomes SVP and general manager for Wyeth’s Institutional Business Unit. 
 
Endo Pharmaceuticals said George Horner III was stepping down from the company’s board of directors “to pursue other business opportunities.” Horner, who previously led Vicuron Pharmaceuticals into its acquisition by Pfizer, joined the board in August 2006. Former Endo CEO Peter Lankau stepped down in March amid speculation about frustration on the board at Endo’s dependence on Lidoderm and Opana.
