Eli Lilly announced the promotion of Alex Azar, currently SVP, corporate affairs and communications, to vice president of business-to-business and Puerto Rico. In his new role, Azar will oversee Lilly’s public payer, managed care and wholesaler operations in the US, as well as sales and marketing operations in Puerto Rico.
Device manufacturer Boston Scientific has elected John Sununu, a former US Senator from New Hampshire, to its board of directors. Boston Scientific also announced that Joel Fleishman will retire from the board at the annual shareholders meeting in May.
Medical education firm Curry Rockefeller Group has announced the hiring of Scott Bernover as regional director of business development. Bernover was previously regional vice president of pharmaceutical partnerships with Epocrates, of San Mateo, California. He will report to Michael Curry, president, and Charles Rockefeller, CEO.
