The FDA issued a warning letter to Pfizer for not mentioning the risks of impotence pill Viagra in a video ad on CNN.com.
Pfizer said in published reports that a technical issue with the CNN website prevented the risk information from being displayed on a banner to accompany the video, an execution from the “Viva Viagra” campaign, and that Pfizer has since pulled the advertisement.
“Pfizer discovered the error, notified the website of the error, and our understanding was that the website corrected its error immediately,” the company said in a statement on the April 16 warning letter from FDA’s DDMAC.
