Michael Parisi has long been a creative and collaborative champion to individuals diagnosed with cancer. While still in graduate school, he helped people affected by cancer and other illnesses by becoming a trained hospice counselor and end-of-life coach. For decades, Parisi has been actively involved with the oncology community. A dedicated supporter of CancerCare, he joined its board of trustees in 2008 and has been board president since 2014. Currently he also serves on CancerCare’s nominating, gala and joint finance committees.

Parisi’s creativity, passion and professional experience have helped expand CancerCare’s unique service offerings, allowing it to do the crucial work of reaching more people affected by cancer. Since 2019, he has also served on the board of directors of LUNGevity, the nation’s leading lung cancer organization, which invests in lifesaving, translational research and provides support services and education for patients and caregivers.
