A new Merck-funded study found its HPV vaccine, Gardasil, to be successful in preventing genital warts in men, according to an Associated Press article. The results of the study are to be presented today at a medical conference in Europe, the AP reports.
AstraZeneca‘s much-anticipated JUPITER study found Crestor, a statin for cholesterol, to significantly reduce the risk of cardiovascular incidents. Crestor reduced cardiovascular deaths and heart attacks by 44% compared with a placebo, the study found.
