WebMD’s allergy forecast indicates it could be a good year to be in the OTC and prescription allergy businesses. The medical website said in a statement Tuesday that the US is set to experience a “Pollen Vortex” of sorts, and that data from its Symptom Tracker show “many regions across the nation are experiencing their worst allergy season in the last four years.”
WebMD said over 7 million visitors have been diagnosed with allergies. The Southwest is currently in the thick of it, and WebMD says the season is “gaining momentum” in the Northeast.
