After graduating from Seton Hall University with an MBA, Annie Demetrio joined Novartis Oncology and was with the company until this March, when she became head, global CRC therapeutic area for Takeda Oncology. In her 13 years with Novartis, Demetrio spearheaded six launches (three U.S. and three global) and was the only commercial leader in oncology selected to sit on the corporate leadership panel for Novartis Brand Council.

With all of her projects, Demetrio turns insights into action and strengthens cross-functional collaboration, specifically in launch settings. “She has built a reputation for having resilience under pressure, courage to ask the tough questions and the passion to energize a large group of cross-functional stakeholders to achieve complex goals,” says Nadia Al-Aydi, VP, global head of marketing at Takeda.

When she’s not leading launches, Demetrio can be found serving as a class mom and helping at her church.
