Clinical research recruitment is extremely challenging, and while 80% of trials fail to meet enrollment timelines, they are essential in the development of new treatments. Christopher Girardi has spent much of his career addressing this issue and creating, executing and measuring data-driven digital healthcare CRM marketing campaigns and strategies focused on participant acquisition and retention.

After working at Evariant and Healthgrades, Girardi joined Verily, a health-tech company focused on research, care and health financing. As head of performance marketing, he and his team use strategic marketing tactics to connect the right people to clinical trials to accelerate recruitment of more representative and engaged populations. The payoffs of their efforts also include increased operational efficiency including decreased costs per patient.

When he is not fine-tuning recruitment strategies, Girardi can often be found exploring Boston with his 2-year-old rescue dog, Marley.
