More than a few people on the 40 Under 40 list got very early starts on their careers. One of them is Skipper Kozelsky, whose first venture consisted of selling watermelons he had grown and chickens he had raised to help pay for his college education.

That entrepreneurial spirit has been a constant throughout the professional roles he’s held since. When he joined AstraZeneca as the world went into lockdown, Kozelsky astutely navigated the new reality and established meaningful relationships and a reputation as a leader, all while working remotely. Since then, he has been promoted three times in less than four years — from HCP associate director to HCP marketing director, and now senior director of marketing leading a team of eight.

Kozelsky loves hiking, traveling and biking — he once cycled from Miami to Key West to raise awareness and support for people living with HIV/AIDS.
