The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations wants the European Medicines Agency to open its books.

PMLive reports that the EFPIA and industry associations including the European Generic Medicines Association and European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs want the EMA to provide cost breakdowns and performance indicators to get a sense of how and where the money they pay for drug reviews goes.

PMLive says revealing expenditures would be in step with other EMA transparency moves, such as its decision to publish committee meeting minutes.
