Sepracor president, CEO and director Adrian Adams resigned ahead of the company’s absorption by Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Co. He will be replaced by Saburo Hamanaka, a former head of Takeda’s US operations who becomes chairman of Sepracor. The merger of Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma’s US subsidiary into Sepracor will be completed April 1.
inVentiv Health named former Pfizer exec Eric Sirota president of commercial services. Sirota, most recently VP US marketing, commercial strategy and innovation and regional sales within Pfizer’s Powers business unit, will oversee inVentiv’s Selling Solutions and Advance Insights divisions and will report to CEO Blane Walter.
