Pfizer‘s acquisition of Wyeth was completed today, after both companies received final regulatory approval from government officials. Wyeth will keep both of its headquarters – in Madison, NJ and Collegeville, PA – according to reports. Wyeth’s shares will stop trading today, with each outstanding share converted to $33 in cash and .0985 of a Pfizer share, according to a company statement.
USA Today and analytics firm Qforma launched the second phase of their “Most Influential Doctors” partnership, with provides a doctor database (searchable by condition) to consumers via USA Today’s online property. The second phase added four new conditions to the search: breast cancer, COPD, depression and osteoarthritis. Qforma created the tool using data supplied by research firm Wolters Kluwer Health.
