West’s role at Novo Nordisk is multifaceted. Its biggest component is leadership of the company’s digital health strategy and patient marketing across its diabetes portfolio in the U.S. But she also serves as one of the sharpest, most enthusiastic evangelists for Novo, its brands, and tech-based solutions to stubborn health problems.

She was the point person for the company’s partnership with Health Innovation Technology Lab (HITLAB) on the 2017 HITLAB World Cup of Voice-Activated Technology in Diabetes presented by Novo Nordisk. That competition was envisioned as a showcase for efforts that help patients use tech to better treat and manage their diabetes.
“Novo Nordisk is constantly striving to provide solutions that minimize the burden for people living with diabetes. We believe that digital health, and specifically voice-activated technologies can be important tools for managing diabetes,” West explained.
Additionally, West’s team has built customized patient-support platforms for diabetes (Cornerstones4Care Diabetes Health Coach) and obesity (SaxendaCare). Both have driven brand awareness and improved outcomes.
