GCI Health has named Amy Inzanti as global chief insights and strategy officer, a newly created role.

Inzanti joined the firm on January 3 and reports to global CEO Kristin Cahill, who became the agency’s leader in 2021. The research, analytics and strategy groups at GCI previously served as separate departments. Inzanti’s new role is integral to bridging these teams under one function.

GCI Health’s SVP and head of research and analytics Bailey Roy and SVP and head of strategy Sarah Dick will now report to Inzanti while continuing to lead their respective functions, the agency said in a statement.

“From a research and insight perspective, we have been working to build out our resources or tools that we use to generate data both from an insight perspective, but also from a measurement perspective,” Cahill said. “[Inzanti] will work with the teams to continue to add to that armamentarium.”

Prior to her new role, Inzanti spent six years with Marina Maher Communications and RxMosaic, most recently appointed as chief strategy officer in 2021.

Executive director Dr. Kavin Shah and group SVP Christy Kelly will take over Inzanti’s previous role by co-leading the strategy and analytics group at Marina Maher Communications, the agency said in a statement.

“Marina Maher Communications was founded on the principles of encouraging entrepreneurship and helping women advance in the communications profession,” the agency said in a statement. “[Inzanti] represents this spirit so we are grateful for all she has contributed to our team and we are confident she will thrive in her new role.”

Inzanti was recognized by PRWeek’s 40 under 40 in 2016 for her work at Cohn & Wolfe (now BCW). While at Cohn & Wolfe, she was director of the firm’s branding and insights group for North America.

GCI Health has been growing its digital practice; and in September, WPP hired GCI Health’s previous CEO Wendy Lund to serve as EVP and chief client officer for health and wellness.
