Public relations firm Hill & Knowlton (H&K) has beefed up its healthcare and pharma staff adding the high-profile names of Hadassah Lieberman and Jeffrey Levine to its roster.
Lieberman, wife of Democratic Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, was named strategic counselor on healthcare policy and public health initiatives, the company said, while Levine, who spent more than a decade of his 18 years with CNN covering health and medical news,
comes aboard as senior vice president of healthcare media relations. Lieberman’s prior healthcare
experience includes stints as a director of policy, planning, and communications for Pfizer and a position at Hoffman-LaRoche. Levine most recently served as the health communications director at the American Institutes for Research. He also developed communications
and crisis management approaches for healthcare companies at Ketchum Public Relations.
H&K’s senior vice president Anna McCollister-Slipp, said the arrival of Lieberman and Levine was part of recent company outgrowth. “Bringing them aboard is part of our ongoing commitment to the pharma side of the business,” she told MM&M.
