As a geriatrician, I am a reader of Clinical Geriatrics, the American Geriatrics Society’s monthly journal. Its peer-reviewed articles offer clinically relevant, updated medical information tailored to the older population. Articles provide updates on clinical issues, and case reports give insights into atypical presentations of disease. Sometimes content is thematically linked. The September issue reviewed osteoarthritis treatments along with a case report on total knee replacement in the very elderly. The journal often has a special section with a clinical focus—one on men’s health covered important yet expected topics such as prostate cancer screening, plus thought-provoking issues relating to male-specific obstacles to maintaining health.
