Kristie Kuhl

Finn Partners has promoted Kristie Kuhl to managing partner in its health practice.

Kuhl will oversee the New York and Chicago health groups and the U.S. pharma team. She will report to Gil Bashe, managing partner of the global health practice.

“One of the strengths she brought was not only her knowledge of pharma, also knowledge of the reimbursement models and the policy side,” Bashe said. “When you take someone who knows the pharma side and the economics of how it works and bring that together, you’re going to have a lot of creative programming for clients.”

Kuhl has worked at Finn Partners since 2015, most recently as a senior partner in the health practice, where she oversaw the New York health group and U.S. product communications. Previously, she was EVP at Cohn & Wolfe and spent 13 years at Makovsky in SVP and EVP roles.

In Kuhl’s previous role leading the New York health practice, the group saw “tremendous growth” as it doubled in size due to key client wins in the last few months, Bashe said, adding that he hopes Kuhl will mentor the Chicago health group and other teams.

Since the start of the year, Finn Partners has acquired three firms, creative marketing shop Small Army in Boston, financial comms agency Moorgate Communications in London, and hospitality firm CatchOn based in Hong Kong.
