Virgo Health has promoted Jaimee Reggio to MD of U.S. operations, a newly created role.

In January, Reggio added the Virgo Health responsibilities to the role she has held at Golin Health since 2021 as U.S. healthcare MD. In the combined position, Reggio will oversee Virgo’s client roster, build its specialized team and work to grow the firm’s reputation as a health and medical communications leader, the agency said in a statement.

“There’s such an incredible opportunity to provide connectivity between both of the brands on the U.S. level, looking for synergies, potential opportunities to learn from each other and to share best practices,” Reggio said, noting that health is one of the fastest-growing practices within the agency. “It’s a really exciting time in health in general so to be able to have this type of connectivity across both of our brands, it’s going to pay off in spades.”

In her first two months as MD for Virgo Health, Reggio has worked with its leadership team to better understand their roles, the opportunities they see and challenges she can help them overcome from an operational and business standpoint.

She continues to report to Golin North America co-president Cori McKeever in the dual role. Golin named McKeever and Dawn Langeland as North America co-presidents in January; McKeever continues to serve as the agency’s global healthcare president, overseeing both the Golin Health and Virgo Health brands.

Reggio said her focus is on operations and driving growth by supporting her teams, which will be especially important due to advancements in artificial intelligence.

The U.S. team, led by Reggio, consists of 150 peer-to-peer, medical affairs and PR experts in Virgo Health and Golin Health.

“Virgo Health and Golin Health are set for significant growth in 2024,” Reggio said. “From a goal standpoint, I see an opportunity — knowing that we have a high-growth year ahead for both agencies — to focus our leadership and our teams on our business needs, our client’s needs and supporting them to manage the growth, keep moving and continue to do great work for our clients.”

A 15-year veteran of Golin, Reggio previously worked at ChandlerGroup and Edelman.

Interpublic Group’s Golin acquired U.K.-based Virgo Health in 2012.

Golin also rolled out Golin Health in early October. Golin’s healthcare work has included a campaign for Siemens about COVID-19 testing and a myopia awareness campaign on behalf of pharmaceutical companies.

The agency reported a revenue increase of 11% to $355 million globally and 13% increase to $225 million in the U.S. in 2022, according to PRWeek’s 2023 Agency Business Report. The firm was named one of PRWeek’s Best Places to Work in 2023.
