David Stern has been promoted to EVP of metabolic and endocrinology at Serono. Stern will manage all commercial operations for the US market relating to the company’s metabolic product portfolio, including sales, marketing and medical affairs functions. Ragozzino previously worked with K&F as a freelance writer.SUPPLIERSContract sales provider PDI has named Mylan Laboratories’ Michael Marquad as CEO effective May 11. Marquad replaces Larry Ellberger, PDI’s interim CEO since October 2005. Most recently, Marquad was VP of Mylan Labs and president of Mylan Bertek Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Mylan, Marquad served as SVP of US sales for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals from 1996 to 2004 and held a number of positions at Lederle Laboatories’ division of American Cynamid Company, which was acquired by Wyeth in 1995.
