Going the extra mile to create a human connection is a recurring theme in Sindy Nathan’s career. In graduate school, she lived on a British Royal Air Force base in order to collect data on the phenomenon of pilots fainting during flight while on deployment in Afghanistan.

Nathan helped lead the 2017 rebrand of Jumo Health (formerly Medikidz), inspired by feedback from customers who thought that Medikidz’s value and passion was limited by its pediatric focus. She convinced clients of the need for new resources that did not even exist in the company yet — digital comics, events, activity books — that went beyond disease education and into a “living with” series, consisting of live-action videos with real patients. Nathan now regularly partners with patients and helps them to tell their unique stories.
