MANUFACTURERSPfizer has announced two senior level appointments. Andreas Fibig, formerly Pfizer’s regional president for Latin America, is now regional president for Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Fibig started in sales, and successive promotions led him through product management, strategic marketing and senior line management. Greg Duncan, formerly SVP, marketing for US pharmaceuticals, has been named regional president for Latin America and will report to Fibig.  Duncan joined Pfizer in 1989 as a medical sales representative and has served as worldwide leader of the team that launched Aricept and marketing director of Pfizer’s UK operation.Novo Nordisk promoted Camille Lee to VP of diabetes brand marketing. Lee will serve as a member of the Novo Nordisk executive team, reporting to Martin Soeters, president. In her new role, Lee will develop and direct Novo Nordisk diabetes brand strategies and initiatives to competitively position Novo Nordisk’s portfolio of insulin analog products and increase market share. Lee will also serve as the key leader for Novo Nordisk’s diabetes brand marketing team to enhance the company’s growth and presence in the diabetes market. MedImmune promoted Edward Mathers to EVP, corporate development and venture. In this role, Mathers is responsible for licensing and business development and is a key leader of the company’s MedImmune Ventures team evaluating investment opportunities. Prior to joining MedImmune, Mathers was vice president of marketing and corporate licensing and acquisitions at Inhale Therapeutic Systems. Previously, he worked for 15 years at Glaxo Wellcome, holding a number of positions in sales and marketing.  AGENCIESCCA Advertising has hired Helayne Spivak as chief creative officer. Formerly worldwide creative officer for J. Walter Thompson and chief creative officer at Young & Rubicam, Spivak will focus on building the company’s consumer health business and provide counsel across Chandler Chicco Companies. Spivak officially takes up the post on Sept. 12. Most recently, Spivak was a group creative director for Energy BBDO in Chicago, running the Bayer account, which included products such as Aleve, One-A-Day Vitamins and Midol.GSW Worldwide named Jason Bergeron executive creative director; Chris DeBartlo senior vice president, Marc Guttesman creative director, consumer marketing; and David Kurman vice president/account director. Bergeron was previously creative director for Doner and has received various accolades throughout his career, including recognition at the Clio Awards, MPA Kelly Awards and London International Awards. DeBartlo joins GSW after 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as marketing director, vaccines, at GlaxoSmithKline. Most recently, Guttesman worked at The Quantum Group, where he was associate creative director on accounts such as Elidel, Claritin, Clarinex, Levitra and Nasonex. Kurman comes to GSW from BBDO  Worldwide, where he was an account director, managing accounts like GlaxoSmithKline, Snickers and Pizza Hut. SUPPLIERSG & S Research, a global market research firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and health science industries, has established a new division named G & S Discovery that will focus exclusively on the life science research supply marketplace. Mark Walker recently joined G & S Research as a vice president to lead the development of G & S Discovery. Before this, Walker was director of US sales with Invitrogen Corporation—one of the top five manufacturers of life science research products.
