Followers of Bravo TV’s suite of Real Housewives “reality shows” take note: today is the 25th anniversary of the very first two approved uses of Botox. Allergan is celebrating the silver anniversary with a video about the people who helped the drug get its start.

While often considered shorthand for cosmetic anti-aging measures, the first FDA approved uses were for crossed eyes and uncontrolled blinking.

Its list of indicated uses has since expanded to include overactive bladder, incontinence, migraines, muscle stiffness, cervical dystonia, frown lines, crow’s feet and other uses.
