Roche named Mara Aspinall president of Ventana Medical Systems.

Roche named Mara Aspinall president of Ventana Medical Systems. Aspinall, a longtime Genzyme exec who was president of Genzyme Genentics and of pharmaceuticals at Genzyme, joins the company from On-Q-ity, a startup diagnostics firm focused on circulating tumor cell tech that she founded.

The Digital Health Coalition named four to its strategic advisory board, including: FDA law expert Arnie Friede; former FDA associate commissioner Peter Pitts; Klick Communications president and CEO Lee Segal; and Everyday Health general counsel Alan Shapiro. The Digital Health Coalition is a new nonprofit think tank aimed at working out how industry can operate online.
