AstraZeneca‘s John Patterson is retiring as executive director of development as of January 1, 2009. Anders Ekblom, who currently heads up AZ’s global clinical development, will become EVP, development at that time.
Nancy Brown has been named CEO of the American Heart Association (AHA) effective January 1, 2009. She succeeds Cass Wheeler, and will be the first female CEO in the history of the AHA.
CommonHealth named Joseph Mastracchio EVP director of business integration. Mastracchio will be responsible for leading new business efforts across the WPP network.
