Publisher Quadrant HealthCom has announced the hiring of Barbara Amstutz as director of medical education. Amstutz, previously the director of strategic planning and program development at Ascend Media, will work with the Cosmetic Dermatology, Cutis, Plumonary Reviews and The American Journal of Orthopedics publishing teams at Quadrant.
ZymoGenetics, a biotherapeutic company specializing in therapeutic proteins, has named Stephen Zaruby president and general manager of its biosurgery business unit. Zaruby was previously vice president, global head, hospital/surgical business unit, haematology/cardiology at Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals.
