Peregrine Pharmaceuticals, a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of cancer and hepatitis C virus infection, appointed Mary Boyd as head of business development for Asia and Europe. Boyd has more than 20 years of international pharmaceutical and biotechnology business development experience with large pharmaceutical companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis and Roche. She will focus on identifying potential partners and negotiating agreements for Peregrine’s extensive clinical and preclinical assets in Asian and European markets.

CMPMedica has promoted Sally Shankland to CEO of CMPMedica US. Shankland served as SVP of CMPMedica’s US promotional business unit for six years prior to accepting the promotion. She has worked for United Business Media companies since 1988, when she began working for Miller Freeman. Shankland replaces Vicki Masseria, who spent 26 years working at CMPMedica and its predecessor companies.
