Sudler & Hennessey promoted James Hammond to a new position of chief strategy officer for China and Japan operations. Hammond, formerly president of McCann Healthcare China, brings more than 20 years of healthcare agency experience, including senior roles at Publicis, DDB and McCann in Asian markets. Hammond will be based in Shanghai.
MSLGroup North America named Shellie Winkler as head of its health and corporate practices. Winkler joins from Edelman, where she was general manager of corporate and public affairs operations for the New York office. MSLGroup North America clients include Lilly, Bayer, Trius Therapeutics and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Given Imaging tapped Rochester agency Martino Flynn to handle its advertising and PR business. Given Imaging makes gastrointestinal and digestive medical devices, including recently-launched PillCam SB, offered as a diagnostic tool for Chron’s Disease.
Management consulting firm Navigant has acquired Easton Associates, thereby giving it a presence in Beijing while adding capabilities to its operations in New York, Chicago and London and boosting its staff to 90. Both firms boast substantial life sciences practices.
