The president of the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau told The Boston Globe that at least two large medical conferences have withdrawn from the city due to onerous new state regulations on financial relationships between drug companies and physicians. The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Society of Gene Therapy canceled annual meetings slated for 2015.
