VideoMD.com, launched in 2008 as a way for physicians to upload educational videos for patients, announced that it has now registered 2,500 physicians and healthcare practitioners. Physicians can create their own videos for the site, or choose videos from a catalog to educate their patients.

The Female Patient, a medical journal focused on OB/GYNs has partnered with Red Hot Mamas, a menopause education organization, to offer “The Buzz on Bioidenticals,” a multimedia program and webinar scheduled for August 4. Scientific, technical and medical publisher Elsevier announced that Chris Dillion joined Elsevier Health Sciences as managing director for the clinical decision support (CDS) group. Dillon will be responsible for all CDS operations and strategy, including product development, marketing and sales. CDS is Elsevier’s point-of-care, payer, provider and eLearning business unit.
