Oakstone Medical, a division of CME-provider Oakstone Publishing, launched a website for radiology specialists called RadiologyDaily.com. The site provides radiologists with free resources, news and reports for download— without outside advertising—in exchange for signing up to receive daily or weekly email updates. The site includes content around 13 different areas of radiology, including breast imaging, pediatric radiology and nuclear medicine.

Cold Spring Publishing announced that it will launch a bimonthly oncology journal in May 2010, titled The Journal of Advanced Practitioner in Oncology. The publication is targeted to nurse practitioners, with an expected circulation of over 7,000. The journal will be distributed at no charge to qualifying recipients. Pamela Hallquist Viale is editor-in-chief, and David Horowitz is director of business development.

MedPage Today, a clinical research news site for physicians, launched a free iPhone app. Physicians using the app can access MedPage Today articles, conference reports and scientific developments via iPhone. Additionally, physicians, nurses and pharmacists can earn CME credit for reading articles on the site.
