BPD has merged Revive, the firm it acquired late last year from Weber Shandwick, under its own branding.

The transition to a unified BPD brand reflects the organization’s line of services, including brand building, service-line promotion, data-driven marketing and strategic communications, the firm said in a statement.

BPD will serve as the primary brand for the organization’s offerings and client engagements. It will retain Revive as a sub-brand to stay recognizable for services in communications capabilities such as issues and crisis management, payor relations and mergers and acquisitions.

Jason Brown will continue as CEO of BPD and Jessica Schmidt will stay on as president. Revive president Chris Bevolo will transition to chief transformation officer of BPD. Prior to the acquisition, Bevolo was CEO of Revive.

BPD finalized its acquisition of Revive in late 2023. Revive will continue to operate in Boca Raton, Florida, and Nashville, Tennessee.

Revive is a Nashville-based healthcare specialist firm founded in 2009. The agency, originally known as ReviveHealth before rebranding in September 2021, was acquired by Weber Shandwick in 2016. Revive sat within the Weber Shandwick Collective under the holding company Interpublic Group which also houses Golin, DeVries Global and Current Global.

BPD is a portfolio company of private equity firm WindRose Health Investors. The Boca Raton, Florida-based health-services agency was founded in 2002 and has a client roster that includes more than 250 hospitals such as the Children’s Hospital Association, Advent Health, the Federation of American Hospitals and HCA Healthcare.
