Bristol Myers Squibb is shedding light on living with cancer and life after cancer in a series of videos, called Survivorship Today.

The company brought on actor Sterling K. Brown as spokesperson and the narrator for the series. The series currently has four episodes and nearly a dozen other video interviews with cancer survivors speaking candidly about what it’s like to live with cancer today.

In the introductory video, Brown talks about his uncle’s fight with cancer, which lasted only six months after his diagnosis, and how that was his first experience with cancer up close.

Other videos feature survivors and advocates speaking with Brown about issues from the coronavirus pandemic to the effect cancer has on relationships, mental health and .

In some videos, the survivors talk about how the coronavirus feels similar to the isolation a patient feels while undergoing cancer treatment and how the pandemic brought back those feelings of isolation and anxiety.

The initiative also provides resources for patients, caregivers and young adults facing cancer, which point them to patient advocacy and education groups and help them know the right questions to ask their doctors.
