As founder of CIEN+ and later CulturIntel, Liliana Gil Valletta has merged her passion for and insight into the huge economic opportunity represented by multicultural populations with AI, machine learning and big data tools. She’s done so on behalf of A-list clients, including Aetna, BCBS, Merck, Novartis and Eli Lilly.

An immigrant from Colombia who arrived in the U.S. when she was 17, Valletta spent 10 years at Johnson & Johnson championing multicultural marketing initiatives. During her J&J tenure, she cofounded the company’s Hispanic employee resource group, Hola.

Valetta’s influence extends all the way to the Oval Office, where she took part in a discussion with President Donald Trump and other women business leaders about topics such as the economic opportunities presented by diversity. She has also made numerous appearances at the World Economic Forum, United Nations and Harvard University. Valletta also believes in giving back, as evidenced by her creation of the Dreamers Network to help minority entrepreneurs through mentorship and investment opportunities.
