Predictive marketing and PR agency Hahn has acquired health communications agency MedVoice PR.

The addition of MedVoice adds health specialties to Hahn’s food and beverage portfolio, the agency said in a statement. The deal closed Tuesday.

Based in Austin, Texas, MedVoice was founded by Emily Schmitz in 2008. Schmitz joins Hahn as senior strategist in its newly formed health and nutrition practice group, which is headed by managing director of health and nutrition Jen Cannon.

Schmitz’s team of medical writers, creative artists and account managers will join Hahn as part of the acquisition. MedVoice PR will not retain its name, however its website will remain operational throughout the transition process to ensure a smooth experience for existing clients, according to Hahn.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

MedVoice PR clients include Harbor Health, Austin Retina, Austin Neuromuscular Center, Eating Recovery Center, Acera, Texas Diabetes and CTVS.

Founded in 1974, Hahn offers services in data science, creative strategy, brand promotion, web design, media relations and crisis communication.
