AbelsonTaylor announced the establishment of AbelsonTaylor Group, which will be the parent company for the firm’s various healthcare businesses, Wednesday morning.

AbelsonTaylor Group will oversee four business units: AbelsonTaylor, which was named as a 2023 MM+M Agency 100 honoree, challenger brands agency AT Nutrient, the full-service state-of-the-art production studio Dose and media implementation group AT Activate.

To accompany the launch, AbelsonTaylor also debuted a new corporate website for AbelsonTaylor Group.

The company will be led by president Jeff Berg, who has been with AbelsonTaylor for two decades.

“We are seeing tremendous change in the healthcare industry, with the development of innovative new products, new techniques for engaging with physicians and patients, and increasingly sophisticated data capabilities,” Berg said in a statement. “Establishing AbelsonTaylor Group enables us to fully leverage our strategic, creative and technical skills and take on a broader range of clients and assignments.”

AbelsonTaylor CEO Dale Taylor added that the establishment of AbelsonTaylor Group is the “logical step” in the agency’s continuing evolution.

The agency is recalibrating its organizational structure following a year where revenues fell 7.2% due to the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and a tight labor market. Berg previously told MM+M that 2023 was “shaping up to be a positive year.”

Similar to AbelsonTaylor, several other notable marketing agencies have embraced forming networks in recent months.

At the start of the year, Calcium, a 2023 MM+M Agency honoree, launched Calcium+Company, an overarching structure to house its diversified divisions. The firm also debuted PRotein, a full-service health and wellness PR division housed under Calcium+Company.

Earlier this week, Omnicom Health Group unveiled a network rebranding coinciding with the one-year anniversary of CEO Matt McNally’s tenure. The agency stated that the new logo and design elements factor into a brand narrative that “clarifies the complexity of the network’s portfolio.”

The AbelsonTaylor announcement also comes less than two weeks after Jay Carter, former EVP of business development, departed the firm following a 35-year tenure to join Juice Pharma, another 2023 MM+M Agency 100 honoree. In a related personnel move, AbelsonTaylor promoted Eric Densmore to the role of SVP of business development.
