Peloton Interactive SVP of global communications Ben Boyd is leaving the company after nearly two years.

Boyd joined Peloton from Lowe’s in May 2022, overseeing all PR efforts, including corporate, executive, internal, financial, consumer, product and technology and emerging business communications globally.

“I’m deeply indebted to the best comms and editorial team I’ve ever worked with for all they taught me and for all we accomplished,” Boyd said in a LinkedIn post. He could not be immediately reached for further comment but added in his post that he’s “incredibly excited about what’s next.”

Boyd’s departure comes amid a tough stretch for Peloton. Earlier this month, the fitness company slashed its outlook after reporting another drop in revenue. Its stock subsequently dropped to a record low.

As Lowe’s VP of communications and community relations, Boyd led a team focused on engaging 350,000 associates, more than 19 million weekly customers and other key stakeholders. He managed PR, including internal and executive comms, as well as overseeing Lowe’s community relations efforts and the Lowe’s Foundation, according to a statement from Peloton.

Before going in-house in 2019, Boyd was BCW’s global chief strategy and operations officer. Previously, he worked at Edelman for 14 years, most recently as chief client strategy officer, overseeing the agency’s client experience program and counseling C-suite executives. Boyd also led Edelman’s studies, including the Trust Barometer.

He has also worked at the Service Employees International Union, Barnes & Noble, Weber Shandwick and Hill & Knowlton.
