Elizabeth Renz has been named head of global oncology communications at GlaxoSmithKline. Previously, she was worldwide communications, immuno-oncology lead at Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Novocure names Benaim medical chief

Novocure has appointed Ely Benaim as chief medical officer. Prior, Benaim held the same role at Rexahn. The company also said Dr. Eilon Kirson, chief science officer and head of research and development, will retire, effective May 1.

Lieu joins NGM

Hsiao Lieu has joined NGM Biopharmaceuticals as chief medical officer and SVP. Previously, he was VP of early clinical development at Genentech.

Janssen brings on Pieri

Janssen has named Steven Pieri as head, pricing, oncology and immunology. Previously, he was executive director of reimbursement for value and access at Amgen.

Novo brings on Schargel

Novo Nordisk has named Howard Schargel as associate director of market development and promotional education for its insulin portfolio. Prior, he was director of marketing for CNS at Otsuka.

Craven joins Cardiovascular Systems Inc.

Michael Craven has joined Cardiovascular Systems Inc. as curriculum manager. Prior, he was marketing director for electrophysiology at Abbott.

Lee to take reins at Forma

Forma Therapeutics has brought on Frank Lee as CEO. He was previously SVP of global product strategy at Genentech.

Ashfield promotes two

Ashfield Commercial and Ashfield Patient Solutions U.K. has named David Bournes and Greg Draper as account directors. Bournes was previously project manager at Ashfield. Draper was previously the leader of the U.K. Commercial Contact Centre.
